Even before the official launch of the deepin Japan branch site, deepin enthusiasts in Japan had spontaneously organized efforts to promote deepin on international social media, increasing awareness of this open-source operating system originating from China among Japanese users. Furthermore, 68 Japanese users have already actively participated in deepin's volunteer translation team, dedicated to the Japanese localization of deepin.

The administrator of the deepin Japan community branch, Keita, is a high school student from Osaka, Japan. He has previously participated in translation projects, such as for Android applications, and was drawn to the UI design of the deepin operating system. Driven by the desire to "use this OS in my own language," Keita began contributing translations to deepin in 2024 and has continued to this day. In 2025, he founded the Deepin Japanese fan site and has been operating it as administrator ever since.

deepin, as the first Chinese open-source operating system to enter the international Linux Distro TOP 10 (DistroWatch.com), is committed to providing global users with a stable, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing operating system. It now boasts 10 well-established overseas branch communities. We believe that as deepin's globalization strategy continues to advance, more community sites will emerge worldwide.

Open source knows no borders, collaboration creates the future! The deepin community will continue to unite members globally to jointly build an internationally renowned, world-leading open-source community and create a global open-source desktop operating system.
